Sunday marked a tragic day in the sports world. Longtime ESPN anchor Stuart Scott passed away in the morning hours of January 4, 2015 after a long battle with cancer at the age of 49. The news is devastating to all those in the sports industry, including athletes, fans and viewers of ESPN. As you all know, LeBron James turned 30 on December 30th. He’s also played a considerably larger amount of minutes at his 30th birthday than Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan. So what does it all mean? The surprising Milwaukee (young) Bucks have already surpassed their entire win totals from all of last year just 32 games into the 2014-15 season. In a weak Eastern Conference, they’re now holding the sixth seed with a record of 16-16. They won all of 15 games last year, and were a team that seemed lost. That all seems to be changing now, and with a good crop of young players and talent, Jason Kidd and company are trying to right the
NBA TV hosts Dennis Scott and Brent Barry seem to have a good time while they’re on set. Actually, we know they have a good time because they have an awesome job. How could you not enjoy that? The Cleveland Cavaliers hosted the Detroit Pistons on Sunday evening and were blown out of the water. The Cavs lacked emotion, effort and chemistry throughout the entire game. Detroit went on to set a franchise record for three pointers made in a game in the 103-80 victory. They knocked down 17 of their 31 attempts from deep, a ridiculous 55% shooting. [Read more…]
