The day is finally here. It’s Christmas time for those who recognize the holiday. It means family, friends, food and, of course, basketball. I’m sure you were like me this morning and throughout the day. Got up and did the whole opening of presents, then got ready to go to your relatives to see your loved ones and have an amazing Christmas. [Read more…]
Photo of the Day: Christmas Trees Galore
Like I said yesterday, this week is dedicated to holiday traditions and holiday photos. No matter what your religion, it’s the time of year to celebrate and come together with family and friends. Just like me and you, professional athletes look forward to the same traditions. Whether they’re on the road traveling or at home, they still enjoy and are very appreciative of the time they get to spend with their loved ones for the holidays thanks to their profession. [Read
Photo of the Day: Danny Green Makes a Good Santa
I know everyone, there’s so many Christmas related pictures recently. But it’s the holiday season, so you should be expecting this out of a photo category. We have another Santa Claus sighting in the NBA! On Tuesday Danny Green of the San Antonio Spurs laced up the boots and the suit, and even got himself a nice fake beard like jolly old Saint Nick to give presents to family and children in need. Photo of the Day: Timofey Mozgov is a Bloody Mess
On Monday night against the Charlotte Hornets, Timofey Mozgov looked like he belonged on the battlefield. He took an errant elbow from Bismack Biyombo to his left eye, just above it on his forehead, that left him a bloodied mess. Moments after, he got a nice slap in the face from Gerald Henderson to make matters worse. He had to leave the game due to the fact that his entire face was covered in blood, which apparently you can’t play through.
SH Blog: Mavs Get Win in Rondo’s Debut, Cavs Handle Short-Handed Grizz
Rajon Rondo made his debut count with the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday night against the San Antonio Spurs. The Mavs new point guard scored six points on 3-of-11 shooting and dished out nine assists, adding seven rebounds in a 99-93 victory. It seems like a typical Rondo night. He didn’t score until the third quarter, was well below 40% from the floor, but made all the plays we’ve seen him make in Boston the past eight plus years. [Read more…]
Photo of the Day: Raptors New Primary Logo for 2015-16
Remember when NBA team logos were fun and colorful? Like the Seattle Supersonics or the old Phoenix Suns logos? That was when jerseys looked best, back in the ’80’s and ’90’s and even into the 2000’s, with the logos embroidered with pride right on the front. Possibly the best jerseys out there were the Raptors uniforms with the big red raptor dribbling a basketball on them, which Toronto has worn this season, in my opinion. [Read more…]
Photo of the Day: Carlos Boozer and the Coolest Santa Ever
I know, I know. The photo of the day is not Rajon Rondo packing his bags and heading to Dallas to join in his new teammates. Nor is it Rondo in a Mavericks uniform. Yes, it’s a huge deal and shakes the entire Western Conference on it’s damn head, but that’s news that Chris Sheridan and our other writers have, and are going to tackle. The reason why you ask, though? Because Carlos Boozer took a photo today that, in my
Photo of the Day: Timberwolves Visit the Pentagon
On Wednesday the Minnesota Timberwolves took some time to enjoy the perks of being on a road trip. They traveled to Washington to take on the Wizards on Tuesday, which they lost 109-95, but they still had some fun away from home. After their loss, the Wolves made a trip around Washington, D.C. to do a little sightseeing. They made their way through the Pentagon, where one of the players got a little comfy. [Read more…]
