In quite possibly an early matchup of this year’s NBA Finals, the Thunder put on a show for their home crowd by beating the Heat by 16. Kevin Durant showed up, nearly posting a triple-double with 28 points, 9 rebounds, and 8 assists. The Suns are now 10-4 since the All-Star Break. They are second best to only the Chicago Bull, who are 12-2. The Suns have won four straight against the Pacers. Danny Granger scored 28 points. Steve Nash had 12 points and 17 assists. Dwight Howard had his 40th double-double of the season. Kyrie Irving celebrated his 20th birthday. The Magic are one of only two teams that have six players averaging double figures in scoring. Tristan Thompson had 15 points and 11 rebounds. New York had 22 turnovers

For those of you who haven’t seen yet, Mickael Pietrus of the Boston Celtics took a bad fall in tonight’s game.While going up for a lay-up, he was fouled hard and snapped his neck and landed on his back pretty bad on the way down. He ended up being taken off by a stretcher, never a sight you want to see. My thoughts and prayers goes out to him and his health, and hopefully the same goes for everyone

Dwight Howard posted his 39th double-double, scoring 28 points along with 16 rebounds. The Sixers are now 6-12 since beginning the season with a 20-9 start. The Bulls are now 11-4 without Derrick Rose this season. Josh Smith had 32 points and 17 rebounds tonight. Monday’s NBA Post-Game Notes

Thaddeus Young had now scored 20+ points on six different occasions this year. Rajon Rondo had 10 points, 13 assists, and 6 steals in the Celtics win over the Hawks. Their were no 3-pointers made in the first quarter of the Cavs-Nets game. 49 fouls were called in the Nets game, and neither team was happy about the officiating.
