Tweet of the Night: Adam Aron
TWITTER VOICES HEARD: all @sixers fans invited to attend open Bynum/JR press conference this week. Season/20/10 tix holders reserved area. — Adam Aron (@SixersCEOAdam) August 13, 2012 Well, it should be quite a welcome for Andrew Bynum in Philly. Sixers CEO Adam Aron listened to his tweeps, who were asking for access, and invited season-ticket holders to come view Bynum’s introductory press conference. Can’t say I’ve ever heard of a team doing that.
Post-game analysis of USA-Spain

How did LeBron James and company defend their gold? And will these guys be barred from the games in Rio de Janeiro because they are 24 and over? CineSport’s Brian Clark discusses with
Sheridan: Open Letter to NBA Commissioner David Stern
Commissioner David Stern Olympic Tower Fifth Avenue New York, NY, USA, 10020 Hey, Dave: Some gold medal game, eh? Guess what happened back here in the States? They showed the whole USA-Spain match (pardon my FIBAism) on NBC Sports Channel without any commercials. That’s right, without any commercials! Who had that in the office pool? Nobody, right? It would have been like picking Tunisia. That’s the thing about the Olympics, Dave … you never quite know what’s going to happen by the time the final day of the whole
Who has been the MVP for Team USA?
This post went up about an hour before tipoff of the gold medal game, and the entire world was already certain that the United States would defeat Spain for the gold medal in London. In the fourth quarter, that didn’t look like such a sure thing, but all that mattered at the end was USA 107; Spain 100. The betting line on the game went from 19 1/2 to 21 1/2, and Spain went from a 20-1 underdog to 25-1. Those were
Poll: How many games will the Lakers win next season?
Michael Jordan’s Chicago Bulls won 72 games in the first season of his second three-peat, back in 1995-96. The previous record was 69 wins. Granted, the Bulls put up that total against an Eastern Conference that was devoid of many good teams, but 72 wins is 72 wins, right? Well, now that the Los Angeles Lakers have acquired Dwight Howard in one of the most lopsided trades in NBA history, it’s time for folks to weigh in on just how good this Lakers
Winners and Losers in Dwight Howard trade
// The blockbuster went down today, and Dwight Howard is going to the Lakers. Who won? Who lost? We’ll take it team-by team: LOS ANGELES LAKERS — They are replacing the best center in the Western Conference with the best center in the Eastern Conference. And let there be no doubt — Dwight is twice the player that ‘Drew is. Howard has 41 career 20-20 games (scoring at least 20 points and grabbing at least 20 rebounds), with his last one coming in what
Olympics: USA beats Australia behind LBJ, Kobe and K.Love
csprtContainer(); Can a Molten be split in thirds? Because the game ball for Wednesday’s 119-86 quarterfinal win over Australia should be divided up between Kobe Bryant, LeBron James and Kevin Love. You knew there was eventually going to be an eruption from Kobe, even when he was scoreless at halftime. And erupt he did, going for six 3-pointers and 20 points in the second half, a bunch of those points coming in rapid succession as the U.S. team pulled away with a furious
