Today the Knicks got destroyed by the Spurs. The Spurs are still great, and the Knicks are missing Tyson Chandler, but this can’t say good things about the Knicks’ ability to stay near the top of the East. [Read more…]
SH Blog: J.R. Smith’s return could mean Iman Shumpert leaving the Knicks
So I’ve been playing NBA 2K14 for a few weeks now, and I’m into late January in my Association mode. I’m playing as the Mavericks, for reasons I can’t really explain except by saying I thought playing as Monta Ellis would be fun. And it is. What’s more fun, though, is making minor trades and tweaking players’ minute allotments. Like, I just traded DeJuan Blair for Peyton Siva and Kyle Singler so I could reallocate Blair’s six minutes a game to
SH Blog: Wade says Heat “got a little comfortable”; Bradley Beal says he’s a “victim” of bad body language
It’s been a very erratic start to the season, and mildly intriguing stories are popping up everywhere. The Sixers and Pacers are off to flying starts. I wonder which one will last. The Heat and Wizards, conversely, have struggled. I wonder which is more likely to turn it around. The Bulls have could probably be getting more out of Derrick Rose. SH Blog: Jim Buss says there’s no chance Kobe hits free agency
While discussing the new Batman video game, a friend and I came to the conclusion that if Batman were real, Mark Cuban would be the most likely Bruce Wayne. [Read more…]
SH Blog: Deron Williams still plans to play in opener
The season is a little over a week from starting, but it’s never too early to start thinking about the draft, at least if you’re a Sixers fan. Or a Canadian who can’t wait for the dominance that Andrew Wiggins will surely bring on the international scene. Wiggins, of course, is #1 on our first (very early) mock draft. The real fun comes with #2, or maybe #3. Suns, Kings, Celtics fans: get to know these names. It’s never too early. Now
