Aside from the fact that they are an infinitely disappointing team this season, the Cleveland Cavaliers have some serious problems on their hands. The All-Star reserves were announced on Thursday, and while there were some snubs (there are always snubs), the players that made it were all deserving. Well, almost. To the surprise of many, Joe Johnson of the Brooklyn Nets made the roster for the East. The Nets have played tremendously well in the month of January to bring their record up to 20-23, but it’s still a losing record, and Johnson is averaging 15.7 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.8 assists on the season

When Marc Gasol went down with a scary knee injury in late November, the Memphis Grizzlies were a modest 7-6 to begin the season. Don’t expect Kobe Bryant to return to game action any time soon. The Los Angeles Lakers guard missed his first 19 games of the season after undergoing offseason surgery on his torn Achilles tendon. When he did return, Bryant managed to last just six mostly-underwhelming games before suffering a fractured leg that has kept him out of action for the last 20 games.
