How would you like to hear someone say that you were hired just to look pretty? While I am sure there are plenty of jobs out there for which that is the only requirement, generally that is not the qualification for a professional male athlete. Something similar was said of Brooklyn Nets guard Jerry Stackhouse, he took it in stride.

The New York Knicks continued their impressive play with a 106 – 99 win against the Phoenix Suns on Sunday afternoon. The victory marks a 12-4 start (7-0 at Madison Square Garden) for the Knicks this season. As was alluded to in last night’s blog, tragedy struck Houston Rockets head coach Kevin McHale and his family over the weekend. The news came two weeks after he took a leave of absence from the Rockets bench citing “personal reasons.” His daughter, Alexandra “Sasha” McHale, passed away at the early age of 23 from lupus. Chris Wilcox, a backup power forward for the Boston Celtics sent his condolences via Twitter on Tuesday.
