Doc Rivers is still trying to make things work on the basketball court with his son Austin. After orchestrating a three-way January trade for his son with Boston and Phoenix, giving up what many thought was too high a price at the time, Doc is betting on Austin becoming the catalyst for a Los Angeles Clippers second unit that has been in the league’s bottom third this season in both points scored and allowed. Austin has played 10 games so far for Los
Photo of the Day: Robin Lopez Excited to Return
The Portland Trail Blazers are starting to fall back in the Western Conference Standings. They now sit No.4 in the playoff seeding, down from the No.2 seed from just a couple of weeks ago. Portland is coming off of a four-game East Coast road trip that was trimmed to three games when their matchup versus the Brooklyn Nets was postponed due to a winter storm. On that trip, the Blazers went 0-3. [Read more…]
Nets players would welcome Andray Blatche’s return
With the Brooklyn Nets slumping despite Monday’s home win over the Clippers, and trade rumors swirling around the team’s highest paid players, at least two Nets players would welcome the return of center Andray Blatche, who spent the first five months of the season in China. Brooklyn, Memphis and Miami are among atleast three teams interested in Blatche, according to ESPN New York, whose Chinese club failed to reach the postseason, making the volatile nine-year vet a free agent. Photo of the Day: Marcin Gortat Finally Shaves His Mohawk
Marcin Gortat used to be a cue ball. He was as bare and bald as you can be on your head, and it seemed like he embraced it. Then he grew his hair and cut it into a mohawk. Was it a stupid idea? Super Bowl Sunday is now here and gone. Another NFL season is in the books, which means it’s time for the NBA to kick into full swing. However, I would like to talk about Super Bowl XLIX for a minute, even though this is a hoops site. In what was probably one of the best football games I’ve, or anyone else, has ever seen, it was a perfect way to end a tumultuous year for the National Football League. [Read more…]

However, if things proceed as they should, Adam Silver can right the wrong and send four Hawks to represent the Eastern Conference in New York. On Thursday, Dwyane Wade told the media that he was “going to be out for a little while.” That will include the All Star game. So now Adam Silver gets to choose Wade’s replacement.
