On the court, Dwyane Wade is an NBA superstar, a Miami Heat legend and three-time NBA champion. But off the court he has had one of the more publicly disclosed relationships in recent NBA memory. He and ex-wife, Siohvaughn Funches-Wade, went through a long, nasty and public legal divorce, which wrapped up in the end of July. It concluded with Wade agreeing to pay Funches $5 million among other details including a a “non-disparage” agreement in which each must refrain from making disparaging remarks

Just because there has been a dry spell of inactivity as far as news is concerned, that does not mean NBA players haven’t been finding ways to stay active. Clippers forward Matt Barnes, in conjunction with Snoop Dogg (Lion?), hosted his annual Athletes vs. Cancer flag football game on Sunday. Today reports have surfaced that Seattle investor, Chris Hansen, who tried to buy the Sacramento Kings earlier this year, was outed as the mystery donor behind the petition campaign trying to force a vote on the Kings’ proposed new arena downtown.
