As most teams open up training camp and have their media days, many players tweet about it. Indiana Pacers star center Roy Hibbert opted to take a stroll down memory lane.
Tweet of the Day: Heat Are Getting Deeper
The Miami Heat got a little deeper over the weekend, adding NBA veteran Roger Mason Jr. Not exactly a blockbuster signing, but Mason can provide the Heat with additional three-point shooting after losing Mike Miller in free agency. It’s not everyday a player gets the chance to suit up with the champions, but Mason seems to realize that. Tweet of the Day: Daryl Morey leading Houston to greatness
The Houston Rockets have themselves a winner with general manager Daryl Morey. He’s been at the forefront for Houston in landing Dwight Howard in free agency and pulled off a trade to score James Harden. Morey now has a team that is in championship talks for the first time since he became GM in 2007. It’s quite obvious he’s loving the extra attention and is excited to get his two stars on the court together. Ok, that picture is amazing @JHarden13 @DwightHoward

Celebrity Twitter beefs can be fun. Or silly. Or completely nonsensical. Some times, as was the case with Dwyane Wade and Kevin Durant earlier this week, they can be confused as possible marketing gimmicks—as both of the NBA athletes involved are sponsored by and have been featured together in Gatorade advertising. Jimmy Kimmel recently did a bit on his late night show in which he poked fun at producer/rapper Kanye West. [Read more…]

Interested in reading the mind of Boston Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo? Rondo, who is usually reserved and doesn’t interact much on social media, does occasionally show up on twitter for random Q & A sessions with his followers. He took some time on Wednesday to answer the many burning questions that fans have for him. Tweet of the Day: Cody Zeller Experiencing the Supernatural
