The NBA’s active wins leader among head coaches, having accumulated 1,131 career victories, has now been honored with his first piece of hardware for individual achievement. Denver Nuggets head coach George Karl was honored Wednesday as the 2012-13 NBA Coach of the Year.
Tweet of the Night: Shaquille O’Neal fires back at Kendrick Perkins
Center Kendrick Perkins is known for being a tough defensive presence for the Oklahoma City Thunder. From an offensive standpoint, he has largely been ineffective since undergoing knee surgery back in 2010. The playoffs have especially been unkind to Perkins, who has shot a woeful 35 percent from the field in seven combined games. That’s pretty unacceptable from the five spot, no matter how little-involved you are in the offensive schemes. [Read more…]
Tweet of the Day: Reggie Miller
Time has a funny way of bringing things full circle. The Indiana Pacers and New York Knicks had one of the most intense rivalries through the 1990s, thanks in large part to Reggie Miller—the Knick Killer. He earned that nickname by singlehandedly taking victory from the jaws of defeat in front of the Knicks’ faithful in Madison Square Garden. [Read more…]
NBA players react to the wildest game of the season between the Warriors and Spurs

With four Game 6’s on Friday night, we were assured of seeing four teams playing for their playoff lives. Unfortunately, none of the teams facing elimination – Boston Celtics, Atlanta Hawks, Los Angeles Clippers and Houston Rockets – were able to extend their respective series. All of them had some form of drama – from Blake Griffin getting into a wrestling match with Zach Randolph, the Hawks bringing their game against the Indiana Pacers to the wire, Kevin Durant and Omer Asik
