Friday night’s contest between the Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors was supposed to be about the ridiculous play of Stephen Curry, the questionable officiating and the need for both teams to win the game. With Derrick Rose having missed the entire season while recovering from microfracture surgery and Kirk Hinrich constantly in and out of the lineup with various injuries, someone had to step up at the point for the Chicago Bulls. It’s an age old tradition in sports. Rookie hazing. In the NBA, many rookies are subjected to carrying luggage for their veteran teammates, buying coffee or even making sandwiches for lunch.
