With the NBA Finals in high gear, it should come as no surprise that Stephen Curry and LeBron James have the league’s two most popular jerseys in terms of sales. But the third and fourth-most selling jerseys were of players that were injured during the regular season. It goes to show how much popularity and staying power Kevin Durant and Kobe Bryant have. Despite not being on the court of a majority of the season, they rounded out the top four.
The Pitch: The Story Behind Mark Melancon’s Cutter
In baseball, the cutter (or cut fastball) is passed along from pitcher to pitcher in a very old school way. This is exactly how Pittsburgh Pirates closer Mark Melancon discovered his go-to pitch. He first learned it from Billy Connors, a pitching coach for a Yankees team that had Mariano Rivera— the ultimate cutter pitcher. Melancon was traded to Houston, where he continued to hone his cutter with Astros reliever Brandon Lyon. Now a key member of the Pirates, Melancon
Bernucca: LeBron Doesn’t Need Any More Validation
See that guy? That white silhouette inside the red and blue? That’s Jerry West. He’s the NBA logo and has been since 1969, when he was still playing. Jerry West’s nickname was “Mr. Clutch.” Former Boston Celtics radio announcer Johnny Most, who disliked every player not wearing green and white, used to call him “Gentleman Jerry.” To my knowledge, Jerry West and Julius Erving are the only visiting players who ever received polite applause upon entering the lion’s den known as Boston

Mock Draft 1.0 — Pre-Lottery Edition, Picks 11-20
11. Indiana Pacers – Kelly Oubre, SF, Kansas Like many Jayhawks prospects, Oubre should be even better in an NBA system where he will have more scoring opportunities. As a rookie Oubre should be able to hit open jumpers, and if he develops his ball-handling skills to create his own scoring opportunities he could be very good. He averaged 9.3 points and 5.0 rebounds in just 21 minutes per game for Kansas, his best game coming when he got to the line
Mock Draft 1.0: Pre-Lottery Edition, Picks 21-30
21. Dallas Mavericks – Jarell Martin, PF, LSU Martin is a prospect with great skills and can mix it up as a rebounder, however his combine measurements will go a long way toward determining how high he is drafted. The Tigers list him at 6-foot-10. Martin will be best suited to defend PFs in the NBA, but also has some versatility facing up to draw out defenders and help space the court. He was one of three Tigers who averaged almost 35 minutes per
