In the brave new world of basketball analytics, trends and modules, a simpler stat surfaced this week that was utterly inexplicable. Two teams have lost 10 games this season in which they led after three quarters. One is the league-worst Philadelphia 76ers, who have no one on their roster who knows how to win a game. Sunday seemed like the Bizarro NBA, an alternate universe where the Suns can win two straight on the road and the Lakers can beat the Warriors. My beloved Raptors, who had won 12 in a row at home, coughed up a 13-point lead. We did get a few things right, like another triple-double for Giannis Antetokounmpo $8200, but failed to cash.
