The 2014-15 NBA regular season continued on Tuesday, December 9 with one of the best days of action yet. Three separate games went to overtime, including one to double-OT, and one ended with a game-winning buzzer-beater. Here’s how it all transpired. [Read more…]
Tweet of the Night: Andrew Bogut provides an update on his knee issue, laughs at an old Mark Jackson joke from last year

The streaking Golden State Warriors had a scare on Monday against the Minnesota Timberwolves when defensive anchor Andrew Bogut left just two minutes into the game and remained out for the remainder of the contest due to what the team called a “knee irritation”. Even without the best defensively rated player in the league, the Warriors easily got by the depleted Timberwolves 102-86, needing Stephen Curry to play only three quarters. The point guard ended his night with 21 points on 10-of-21
Photo of the Day: Duke and Duchess of Cambridge with Adam Silver

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are on a three-day tour of the United States. What was one of the first things they did besides getting off the airplane? Hinkie has constructed a roster that is inherently non-competitive. The Sixers have the fewest first-round picks and the most undrafted free agents of any team. Their highest-paid player makes $6.6
Fantasy Spin: Star-Studded Backcourts Tonight

It’s a plethora of point guards. Ten very talented players, in excellent form, each costing $8000 or more. Pick the right one (or two) and you’re well on the way to winning in daily play at DraftKings. That’s the toughest fantasy decision on an interesting 7-game NBA slate. [Read more…]
Sheridan: MVP Rankings, Edition III; Prince William sees LeBron

The Prince will go see the King tonight in Brooklyn, and William should see a show from LeBron. The biggest Brit of them all should also take a look at the baseline photographers to see something else that is a freak show: The shutterbugs will be all spiffed up. Word was passed along to the fotogs last week that jeans and sneakers will not be tolerated if they plan to take their usual cross-legged seats along the baseline for Monday night’s
