Cavs’ Varejao out with broken wrist
Cleveland Cavaliers center Anderson Varejao is out indefinitely with a broken wrist. The team announced Saturday that Varejao had an MRI on Saturday at the Cleveland Clinic that revealed a non-displaced fracture of his right wrist. He will undergo further tests this week to determine a timeline for his return. Varejao suffered the injury early in the third quarter of Friday’s home loss to the Milwaukee Bucks. Dirk? Apparently, the Western Conference coaches chose this year’s All-Star reserves based upon last year’s accomplishments. The 14 All-Star reserves were announced tonight on TNT, and there were a couple of surprises. None was bigger than the selection of Nowitzki, who is averaging the lowest numbers since his sophomore season. Highlight Performances: Kyle Korver, CHI– If your looking for an example of a pure shooter, then Korver is your guy. He has been debatably one of the best shooters in the game for quite awhile now. Although his numbers and minutes have diminished this season, with Richard Hamilton out again with a groin injury, Korver stepped up big time, scoring 18 points on 5-7 shooting from 3 point range.
