The Madison Square crowd was in a frenzy. New Orleans Pelicans head coach Monty Williams had just called a meaningless timeout with 8.1 seconds left and his team down 99-92 to a New York Knicks team that had lost 16 straight games dating back to Dec. 12. Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James has missed the team’s past nine games, including their complete meltdown against the Sacramento Kings on Sunday evening that dropped them to 19-19 on the season. The final score was 103-84, but was surely over well before the final quarter. James has been sidelined with lingering knee and back issues, and was supposed to miss about two weeks with the ailments. Boston Celtics forward Jeff Green posted a photo on Friday, celebrating his “second birthday”. I’m sure you’re wondering what he means by that, and that’s what I’m here to tell you.
