Patience is a must in fantasy hoops. It can be frustrating to hold on to an injured player, especially those like John Wall or Andrew Bynum, whose recoveries take longer than expected. It’s also a nice boost when one of your absent stars comes back. [Read more…]
SH Blog: Ball movement has Knicks in rhythm, on fire
During the pregame of Knicks-Heat on TNT, Marv Albert wasted no time targeting the biggest concern of the evening for Knicks fans. Would New York, minus Carmelo Anthony, be able to put the ball in the hoop? [Read more…]
Knicks Win Without Carmelo; Pau Gasol Rumors Swirl
OK, I’ll play. Doug Smith of the Toronto Star is speculating about a trade of Andrea Bargnani for Pau Gasol. Full disclosure #1: 30 years ago, Smitty was the sports editor in a small Ontario town and hired me as a columnist. He’s the best. Full disclosure #2: I live ten minutes from the Air Canada Centre (there you go, Sheridan, a ‘legit’ Canadian spelling) and am so sick of Bargnani’s frequent disappearing acts, I will eat any pasta but
Carmelo Anthony, Al Jefferson Hurt Late In Victories
The old crystal ball was pretty accurate for once; Carmelo Anthony (23 PTS) and Tyson Chandler (18 PTS, 17 REB) destroyed Byron Mullens (6) and Brendan Haywood (4) as expected. I also called Kemba Walker (25 PTS, 11 AST) and Ben Gordon (17) for big games. [Read more…]

Why do the Warriors keep winning games, despite missing their main defensive weapons in Andrew Bogut and Brandon Rush? David Lee spoke with us to explain his team’s success on Sheridan Hoops Radio on Monday. What does it mean for the Lakers, who many expected would dominate and even
Tweet of the Day: JR Smith
The New York Knicks continued their impressive play with a 106 – 99 win against the Phoenix Suns on Sunday afternoon. The victory marks a 12-4 start (7-0 at Madison Square Garden) for the Knicks this season. While the win marks their third straight after dropping four of their previous seven games following their impressive 6-0 start, it was not without its pitfalls. Knicks point guard Raymond Felton injured his left thumb in the victory and is now listed as day-to-day. Monday afternoon Knicks
