This was NOT the scene in Indianapolis after the Pacers defeated the Heat, but it is a fitting approximation of the post-game mood at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. Have they cleaned up the confetti yet in Indianapolis? OK, maybe that is raining on the Pacers parade a little bit. It was a nice win last night, a great win really when you consider what was at stake — validation as a team that can truly compete with the Heat,
Eisenberg: Emeka Okafor Could Change the Landscape of the Western Conference
At this very moment, the fate of the Western Conference might be hanging in the balance of the Phoenix Suns’ front office. Let me explain. Let’s start out with a simple question: Does anyone still take the Clippers seriously as Western Conference favorites? We’ve seen this act before: Chris Paul and Lob City put up highlights every night and make fans drool over the thought of a potential star-studded Heat-Clippers Final. When the playoffs eventually come around, however, the Clippers recede back to looking

Tweet of the Day: NBA Thanksgiving Edition
Thanksgiving Day. A day that many people assess their lives and give thanks for whatever — whether it is to the god of their faith or to other people in their lives — they may be grateful for. Studies have actually shown that expression of gratitude can lead to a longer and happier life. There is a lot to be grateful for in life, regardless of what is going on in yours. SH Blog: What does Rose’s injury mean for the Bulls?
What’s going on? Are the Nets really this bad? They lost to the Pistons (who have also started a bit sluggishly) today. And that was with Joe Johnson going bonkers from deep. Sheridan’s MVP rankings: Nov. 20 edition — Kevin Durant at No. 1
Yeah, we’re all sick of the Pacers. I will be visiting with them tonight at Madison Square Garden when they destroy the New York Knicks in Mike Woodson’s final game, and I will close this paragraph by reminding y’all that I picked Indiana to win the NBA championship. I even went on the BBC prior to the season and advised 120 million viewers to place a wager on them when the odds were between 7-1 and 12-1. Something tells me Ladbroke’s has

Mike Conley, Jamal Crawford and Tony Allen react to big game between Clippers and Grizzlies
Looking to stay undefeated at home were the Los Angeles Clippers as they hosted the Memphis Grizzlies – considered a rival after seeing them for two consecutive seasons in the playoffs – on Monday night. Instead, Chris Paul ate a swinging foot to the face from Tony Allen and the Clippers suffered their first loss at the Staples Center 106-102. Paul looked to penetrate into the lane late in the first quarter when Allen, who initially appeared to want to take a
