The Cleveland Cavaliers hosted the Detroit Pistons on Sunday evening and were blown out of the water. The Cavs lacked emotion, effort and chemistry throughout the entire game. Detroit went on to set a franchise record for three pointers made in a game in the 103-80 victory. They knocked down 17 of their 31 attempts from deep, a ridiculous 55% shooting. [Read more…]
PODCAST: Why are Cavs fans behaving like Knicks fans?
Not many people expected the Cleveland Cavaliers to be sitting in fifth place in the Eastern Conference two months into the season. When you build a SuperTeam, 5th place is not where you set your sights … and Cavs fans are grousing about it. But when you have a new coach, two imported superstars who have to change their games, a franchise cornerstone (Kyrie Irving) who is not the franchise cornerstone anymore, there are going to be growing pains. And that
MVP Rankings, Edition V: LeBron Approaches the Big Three-Oh
LeBron James pulled his jersey up over his mouth as he spoke to the players on the Miami Heat bench late in the fourth quarter of Cleveland’s Christmas day dud on Biscayne Bay, keeping the lip-readers out of the conversation. He id the same thing after the game ended when he spoke with Dwyane Wade, but his efforts at stealth could not elude the ESPN microphones. One snippet that was audible to the world was James saying he was making “like
Photo of the Day: Christmas Trees Galore
Like I said yesterday, this week is dedicated to holiday traditions and holiday photos. No matter what your religion, it’s the time of year to celebrate and come together with family and friends. Just like me and you, professional athletes look forward to the same traditions. Whether they’re on the road traveling or at home, they still enjoy and are very appreciative of the time they get to spend with their loved ones for the holidays thanks to their profession. [Read

The Mavs new point guard scored six points on 3-of-11 shooting and dished out nine assists, adding seven rebounds in a 99-93 victory. It seems like a typical Rondo night. He didn’t score until the third quarter, was well below 40% from the floor, but made all the plays we’ve seen him make in Boston the past eight plus years. [Read more…]
Photo of the Day: Warren Buffett Wearing Old LeBron James Jersey at Cavs Game
Warren Buffett is a fan of LeBron James. But who isn’t? Buffett was in attendance at the Cleveland Cavaliers game on Monday when they hosted the Charlotte Hornets. Sitting on the baseline next to the Cavs bench next to owner Dan Gilbert, Buffett is considered to be a unique but close friend of James. The two have had a personal relationship for awhile now, in which LeBron seeks his advice in business. [Read more…]
Sprung: Kyle Lowry is the Early Eastern Conference MVP
The Eastern Conference’s leader in Win Shares signed a highly publicized free agent contract this past offseason with the East’s best team. That player is not LeBron James but Kyle Lowry, the undisputed leader of the Toronto Raptors. And it is Toronto – not Cleveland – which has the East’s best record at 18-6. Lowry and the Raptors are 5-3 without All-Star shooting guard DeMar DeRozan, who injured his groin the day after Thanksgiving in a loss to Dallas. SheridanHoops went one-on-one with Raptors
