Congratulations to “knicksfan18” who scored a remarkable 324 points — led by Russell Westbrook (50) and Antawn Jamison (48) — to qualify for the $150,000 DFBBC final and earn a trip to Las Vegas for that event in March. Things didn’t go as planned in my Friday leagues. Kobe Bryant was content to watch everyone else score for a change, Tyreke Evans was a late scratch and I sure picked the wrong guy between Gerald Wallace (29) and Arron Afflalo
FanDuel Diary: $1,000 Winner-Take-All Tournament Tonight
On a busy night in the NBA, there are a wide variety of leagues and formats at FanDuel. One that deserves special consideration is for high-rollers, at least from my perspective. It costs $25 to enter, there will be only 46 teams, and the winner will get the entire $1,000 prize pool! Just clock the logo to join. There’s also another qualifying tournament this evening for the Daily Fantasy Basketball Championship. That one has a $10 entry fee, $5,000 cash in
$5,000 DFBBC Qualifier Tonight For $150,000 Final
Tonight’s big event is a qualifying tournament for the $200,000 Daily Fantasy Basketball Championship. Each week you can win one of 15 trips to Las Vegas for the live DFBBC final in March 2013, where the winner gets $50,000 in cash and even last place is worth $1,500. There’s an additional $5,000 paid out in consolation prizes in each qualifier. It costs $10 to enter, but you can’t win the DFBBC if you’re not in it. Fan Duel Diary: Enjoy the Night Off
Congratulations to “ajhoff32” for scoring 309 points to win the $325 first prize in our $1,500 tournament last night. My team struggled in 69th among the 167 entries, as bargain picks Alexey Shved and Moe Harkless were disappointing. Down $16 now from the original $100 bankroll in Week 4, I’ll have to wait for tomorrow to get even, as there are no NBA games tonight. Happy Thanksgiving to all our American friends and your loved ones. On Friday, there’s another DFBBC qualifier.
FanDuel Diary: Freerolls Friday & Saturday
We’re launching this new daily feature with a special Freeroll weekend. Friday’s one-day tournament has no entry fee, but $250 will be paid out in 17 cash prizes, including $50 to the winner. Join FanDuel (if you haven’t already) with no deposit or credit card required, find out for yourself how much fun it is to pick a team, and maybe take home some free money. Tomorrow there will be a “winner take all” contest, again absolutely free to enter. FanDuel 15 Nov.
