As the NBA looks forward to another great night of games on the court Tuesday night — Washington/Indiana and Los Angeles/Oklahoma City — the coaching carousel continues to spin off of it. After Cleveland Cavaliers head coach Mike Brown was fired on Monday, there are now seven vacant coaching positions across the league: Cleveland, Detroit, Golden State, New York, Los Angeles, Utah and Minnesota. Brownout: Cavs GM Griffin no longer interim, Brown fired as coach; Is Ollie a target?
Mike Brown is out after just one year as coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers. The only question is, who fired him? Brown’s firing was announced in a joint news release that also announced that David Griffin – who replaced fired GM Chris Grant in midseason – would have the interim tag removed from his title and become the general manager. But when it came to Brown’s ouster, the first quote was attributed to owner Dan Gilbert, who is learning that life after
SH Blog: D’Antoni says analysts need to adjust; Dantley calls Isiah a ‘con man’
The NBA playoffs got off to a good start today, with a competitive Nets-Raptors game followed by a thrilling Clippers-Warriors battle. The former reminded everyone why Paul Pierce is still a quality NBA player, and the latter was an intense battle between two rivals, albeit both playing below their potential. Blake Griffin only got 19 minutes due to foul trouble, which the Clippers have to be praying won’t happen in the rest of the series. Otherwise, they could be in

It was the second fantastic title

This season has been one of great disappointment and controversy for Cleveland Cavaliers All-Star Kyrie Irving. Expected to be one of the more competitive teams in the Eastern Conference before the season began, the Cavaliers have floundered and are all but out of playoff contention after their latest 117-98 loss to the Atlanta Hawks on Friday. More importantly, there have been rumors all season long about how Irving doesn’t want to remain in Cleveland – rumors Irving has denied. The most recent
