We’ll begin with apologies, but my excuses are a lot better than a forged note to Mr. Kotter from “Epstein’s mother.” [Read more…]
SH Blog: Cuban says Dirk isn’t getting traded, “no matter what”
Saturday’s news included a handful of players who are good bets to be traded over the next several weeks. Today’s news focuses mostly on players who won’t be traded, including the one in the headline. [Read more…]
SH Blog: Bryant and Howard deny feud rumors, Magic Johnson rips everyone on the Lakers
The Los Angeles Lakers are officially in big trouble. Literally. Sitting eleventh in the Western Conference and three games behind the eighth-seeded Portland Trail Blazers, the Lakers received news that their primary bigs in Dwight Howard, Pau Gasol and Jordan Hill have all suffered injuries, which will cause them to miss an unknown number of games for the foreseeable future (more on that below). This is absolutely the last thing this team needed, given its continued struggles on both ends of the floor.

The fault lies in the league’s unwillingness to compromise for the safety of the players. Earlier
Nets Silence Thunder in OKC; Raptors on a Roll
Now I get it. The Nets were cleverly sandbagging in San Antonio, to make the Thunder overconfident. A completely different team showed up in Oklahoma City, took charge early and finished strong. [Read more…]
Bernucca: At $100 million, Deron Williams may be damaged goods
Let’s, for a moment, put aside some of the perceptions about Deron Williams. Let’s forget that he eats coaches like they are M&M’s. Let’s dismiss that he complains about everything from set offenses to background lighting in arenas. Let’s overlook that he took a little too much enjoyment in swinging the sledgehammer of free agency. [Read more…]
