I never thought I would say it, but it seems the Bulls would have been better off in this game WITHOUT Derrick Rose. I understand Rose is the offensive catalyst for this team, and simply his presence makes a difference. But Rose looked hurt all night, and whether it was rust or not, he just did not shoot well at all (1-13 FG). He did dish out 8 assists, but he hurt them more than helped them, and C.J.

Surprised? Seems like it, as the Heat beat the Sixers on the shoulders of LeBron James and his 41 points. With Dwayne Wade out, LeBron was expected to carry the load, and he did just that against a strong defensive team in the Sixers. The Heat have now won 16 straight at home, and although they have struggled on the road against stronger teams, they are still looking like one of, if not the best team in the East.I

In quite possibly an early matchup of this year’s NBA Finals, the Thunder put on a show for their home crowd by beating the Heat by 16. Kevin Durant showed up, nearly posting a triple-double with 28 points, 9 rebounds, and 8 assists. According to Elias Sports Bureau, Rajon Rondo became only the third player in NBA history to record 15 points, 20 assists, and 15 rebounds in a single game. The other two? Oscar Robertson and Wilt Chamberlain. Only two other players have had a 15-15-15 line in the past 25 season, being Magic Johnson and Jason Kidd. Rajon Rondo has 10+ assists in five straight games.
