Tweet of the Day: Kobe Bryant & Dwyane Wade
Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. A nationally recognized federal holiday in the United States of America. MLK Day was voted into existence by President Ronald Reagan on November 2, 1983, and it was first observed January 20, 1986. It is recognized by the government on the third Monday of every January—on or around Dr. King’s birthday. That great day, in which our nation recognizes the civil rights achievements of Dr. King was celebrated Monday of this week. As with his birthday (last week), many players took time

Less than 24 hours after a close yet convincing win over the Los Angeles Lakers, the Miami Heat are safely back in South Florida taking time to rest—with four days off before they face the Toronto Raptors next Wednesday at home. Perkins: Heat fans are feeling a bit queasy
MIAMI – HeatNation is worried again. Yes, the Heat (23-9) have the best record in the Eastern Conference and the fourth-best record in the NBA. And, yes, they still have LeBron James, whose 26.5 points, 8.3 rebounds and 6.9 assists allow him to maintain his title as Best Player on the Planet. But there’ is grave concern among fans that their defending champion Heat are playing subpar, non-championship basketball. We’ll see if the six-game road trip that starts tonight at Indiana does
