We witnessed two world class blowouts yesterday, as the Chicago Bulls and the Utah Jazz were no match for the Los Angeles Clippers and the Oklahoma City Thunder respectively. The tightest game featured the visiting Suns ousting a determined Orlando Magic. Blowouts were expected but none came. Portland overcame terrible first quarter defense and pulled away from the Nets in the second half on the strength of superior outside shooting. The mixed messages coming from the Hornets and Eric Gordon about his knee are confusing. I’m not a doctor and haven’t seen the MRI, but my ‘diagnosis’ is, the desert heat in Phoenix would be a miracle cure. For fantasy purposes, he’s out indefinitely.
