Here at Sheridan Hoops, we’d like to think that we’re a little ahead of the NBA curve. Case in point: This morning, most of the basketball world is talking about how the Golden State Warriors went into Miami and stunned the defending champions by making more plays down the stretch of a hard-fought game. Three days ago, however, we already had made the case that the Warriors have been the biggest surprise of this season and have been flying under the mainstream
Sheridan: Heat lacking intensity, Warriors are for real
Earlier this week, Chris Perkins – our man in Miami – told us that the defending champion Heat aren’t ready to sound the alarms of concern over their recent play, which has looked a bit distracted. I spoke with Cinesport’s Noah Coslov about the same topic, hours after Miami’s dispassionate disposition continued in a last-second home loss to the Golden State Warriors. [Read more…]
Tweet of the Night: David Lee
David Lee has reason to be excited after his team’s latest 97-95 road victory over the Miami Heat – one of the toughest home teams in the league. The Golden State Warriors are not known as a team that go on long winning streaks on the road. Last season, they were 11-22 away from home. Warriors’ Bogut to miss at least three more games
Here’s some injury news that isn’t really news at all, because it concerns Golden State Warriors center Andrew Bogut. The oft-injured Bogut will not play in any of the team’s next three games as he continues to build strength in his surgically repaired left ankle, the team announced Tuesday. [Read more…]
SH Blog: Top 5 moments from November 19, featuring the rise of Stephen Curry
How good was point guard Stephen Curry in Monday night’s win over the Dallas Mavericks, on the road, in overtime? Simply put, he has never played a better game in the NBA. Not even close. Lets take a look at what went down. The already-shorthanded Golden State Warriors got a brief scare in the fourth quarter when Curry went down after – wait for it – twisting his ankle when he landed on a Mavericks player’s foot while driving to the basket.
