NEW YORK — After the Los Angeles Clippers beat up on the New York Knicks on Sunday afternoon, Carmelo Anthony scoffed at the notion that the Knicks need to make a change or two. “Shump ain’t going nowhere,” Anthony matter-of-factly said when asked about the recent trade rumors involving Iman Shumpert and a potential deal to the Phoenix Suns. “The Knicks shouldn’t even be in trade talk right now,” he said as he walked out of the Knicks locker room. Au contraire. [Read more…]

Bauman: Carmelo Anthony back on track offensively?
NEW YORK — “It’s not there for him right now,” I said to a fellow reporter to my left as I watched Carmelo Anthony miss short on a 14-foot leaner on his ninth field goal attempt of the game with 3:50 remaining in the first half. SH Blog: Bryant and Howard deny feud rumors, Magic Johnson rips everyone on the Lakers
The Los Angeles Lakers are officially in big trouble. Literally. Sitting eleventh in the Western Conference and three games behind the eighth-seeded Portland Trail Blazers, the Lakers received news that their primary bigs in Dwight Howard, Pau Gasol and Jordan Hill have all suffered injuries, which will cause them to miss an unknown number of games for the foreseeable future (more on that below). This is absolutely the last thing this team needed, given its continued struggles on both ends of the floor.
