BROOKLYN — Two significant things about today’s Brooklyn Nets news conference — what was said, and what wasn’t said. First, the latter: The word “Knicks” was not mentioned one single time. It would have been like being at a wine-tasting, and uttering the word “Thunderbird.” No bigger sign of disrespect than treating an adversary as though it does not exist. Because in the new world of the Nets, the only other team that merits mention, the only other team that is in

Tweet of the Night: C.J. Watson says he will make Chris Sheridan eat his words
Writers and analysts of the NBA frequently appear as guests on a variety of podcasts to analyze many different aspects of the game of basketball. INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Pacers announced Wednesday that Larry Bird will return to the team as President of Basketball Operations. Bird agreed to a multi-year deal. Donnie Walsh, who held that position the last year, will be a consultant to the franchise and Kevin Pritchard remains as the Pacers’ General Manager. “We are all very happy to have Larry back,” said Pacers’ owner Herb Simon. “When he left last July, Donnie and I both told him the door would be open for him
