After much anticipation about who would or wouldn’t be an All-Star this year, the league finally announced the reserves for the All-Star game on Thursday. This week, while NBA coaches pick the All-Star reserves, the NBA will pick the All-Star coaches. Neither task is as easy. David Blatt’s dismissal as coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers has added a bizarre twist to next month’s All-Star Game in Toronto. In choosing the All-Star reserves, the Eastern Conference is much less complicated than the West. But it appears that a backcourt position could be a point of contention.
