I’m sure of it. I watched it. Germany beat Argentina one-to-nil in extra time, thus ending two months of highly anticipated, very engrossing fútbol (spelled as such so as to not confuse it with American football). Well, it is and it isn’t over. FIFA has had its fun,
Tweet Of The Night: Isaiah Austin Gets His NBA Draft Moment
The NBA Draft is the night where many basketball players watch their child hood dreams come to life. For some this has been a moment they’ve waited for since the day they first picked up a basketball. For Isaiah Austin it was a dream that he was denied. This past Sunday he announced that he had been diagnosed with Marfan’s Syndrome, thus bringing his career as a professional basketball player to an abrupt end. The Baylor University star would never be

Tweet of the Day: Player Reactions To All NBA Teams
Wednesday the All-NBA Teams were announced, and with them came a slew of congratulatory, confused and frustrated tweets. Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant led all vote getters as the lone unanimous selection to the First Team, followed by Miami Heat forward LeBron James, Chicago Bulls center Joakim Noah, Houston Rockets guard James Harden and Los Angeles Clippers guard Chris Paul. We are treated to some combination of LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, Dwyane Wade, Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, Manu and Paul George every night. These players give us performances to praise night in and night out. And sometimes they don’t. And it’s when they don’t that we
The Three-Man Weave: George’s Whining, Vogel’s Future, Ibaka’s Impact
We have decided to bring back the Three-Man Weave, which we did for a while back in the day before the guest authors turned their answers into SAT essays. While emphasizing no extra page clicks and answers around 100 words or so, we address Paul George’s whining, Frank Vogel’s future and Serge Ibaka’s impact. [Read more…]
SH Blog: Grizzlies owner Pera confronts SI writer Mannix on twitter for lack of integrity, how Ibaka came back
Over the weekend, Memphis Grizzlies owner Robert Pera and coach Dave Joerger apparently worked out their differences. Despite Joerger’s visit to Minnesota and Pera’s willingness to let him do so, the two communicated in a way they have not in the past, and the coach went as far as saying that the two are basically “married” at this point. So for the time being, it appears everything is back to normal for the Grizzlies with the exception of Jason Levien’s absence.
