After months of agonizing anticipation, the 2013-14 NBA regular season has finally begun. Three games ushered in the new year, and as one might imagine, the numbers were quite astonishing. No team posted numbers that were as impressive as the Indiana Pacers. Indiana won its season opener by defeating the Orlando Magic 97-87 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. The center feels well enough to play, and went as far as to say that nothing can stop him from going against the Los Angeles Clippers, his former team: Well let’s
The NBA regular season finally begins this week, and numerous major publications have put out their preseason predictions and prognostications. Few, picks, if any, are usually bold or daring. Most are run-of-the-mill status quo predictions for the coming season. (Although we have a wide variety of semi-safe picks here at SheridanHoops in our season preview special.) Miami will win another NBA title, with LeBron James as MVP. San Antonio and Oklahoma City will be the top teams in the West. Maybe Houston

Kobe Bryant has never known any team other than the Los Angeles Lakers. He started his career in Los Angeles as a teenager, and only once did he flirt with the idea of switching jerseys during his 17-year career. The guard has said throughout the latter part of his career that he would remain a Laker for life, but you never know how things can turn out in the NBA.
