The Thunder are obviously still the best team in the West. There is not much debate there in my mind. However, tonight was a massive statement game by the San Antonio Spurs. The Spurs played without Manu Ginobili and newly acquired Stephen Jackson, and still beat the Thunder by 9 points in Oklahoma City. Tony Parker continued his amazing year, and Tim Duncan pulled down 19 rebounds. Not to mention, Danny Green had 21 points and 5 steals. The

Monday’s NBA Post-Game Notes

Brandon Jennings had 34 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists, and 2 blocks in their win over the Nets. The lats player to post such a line was Alvin Robertson on January 16, 1990. Kris Humphries scored a career-high 31 points, as well as pulling down 18 rebounds. His previous career-high is 25 points, and he also had 19 rebounds earlier this year. As expected, Rajon Rondo was on a mission against Jeremy Lin, with a triple double (18 PTS, 20 AST and an amazing 17 REB) and Paul Pierce was superb with 34, as the Celtics needed overtime to beat the Knicks. Lin had 14 & 5, Carmelo Anthony (25) and Amare Stoudemire (16 & 13) were solid and the New York bench outscored Boston’s 45-15, only to fall short. It was a great tipoff to a Sunday of hoops on TV. I’m a huge fan of Ginobili. I love his style, and love what he brings to the court. He gives 120%, and can do everything that is required out of an NBA player. With that said, when I watched him break his hand (which I actually saw live), I considered the Spurs season to be all but over.
