Hours after it was reported that Mark Cuban would be receiving a fine from the NBA, the Dallas Mavericks owner took to Twitter to voice his thoughts on the matter. Never one to bite his tongue, it shouldn’t be a surprise that Cuban chose to comment on the issue. As he took to social media upon hearing of the $100,000 fine, Cuban hinted that this would not be the last time he would be getting penalized by NBA officials. [Read more…]
Mark Cuban draws a $100,000 fine
Mark Cuban said he wanted to get fined one more time by commissioner David Stern before the old man steps down. Mission accomplished. The NBA socked the Dallas Mavericks owner with a $100,000 fine Saturday for confronting the officials and directing inappropriate language at them following the Mavericks’ 129-127 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday, Jan. 15, at Staples Center. Cuban has been fined 20 times, including 14 for criticizing officials. The penalties have added up to nearly $1.9 million, and
Hubbard: Mavericks Quietly off to Surprising Good Start
A little more than a month has passed in the NBA season, but it seems like we’ve already had a full year of distractions, both good and bad. Portland great; Indiana even better. The Knicks and Nets taking turns who’s bad and who’s worse. Kobe close to returning; Rose out for the year. Dwayne Wade hurting; the Atlantic Division hurting even more. Meanwhile, the last team other than the Miami Heat to win a championship is quietly turning into a solid

SH Blog: Iguodala has hamstring strain; Gasol won’t get surgery
The big news of today is that Derrick Rose has another knee injury. This time, it’s not an ACL tear, but it is a meniscus tear, which obviously isn’t a good thing. This is terrible news for the Bulls, of course, but it could be good news for any team shopping a point guard. Orlando and Jameer Nelson, I’m looking at you. Also, do the Suns really need Goran Dragic right now? There’s not many prospective playoff teams in the market for
