SH Blog: Phil Jackson compares Kobe and MJ, Noah says seeing Rose not come back was difficult
For quite some time, there was an ongoing debate about whether Kobe Bryant deserves to be in the same conversation as Michael Jordan in terms of overall play and greatness. It’s still discussed by some to this day. One person that would really have a concrete idea of the matter is Phil Jackson, who coached both players and saw the best and worst of the two in their respective prime. He, however, never wanted to get into great detail when comparing the
Tweet of the Day: Luol Deng
Many basketball fans, especially Chicago Bulls fans, have lasting memories of an exhausted and visibly weak looking Michael Jordan playing through severe illness in Game 5 of the 1997 NBA Finals. Seeing him put up 38 points in 44 minutes for a narrow victory over the Utah Jazz set the bar for all athletes confronted with severe “flu-like” symptoms. It was obviously a huge deal at the time due to its cockiness and the fact that it was said before the newly formed trio ever played a single game together on the court. When he said it, we all assumed that James was speaking for himself as well

Carmelo Anthony sure seems to be enjoying the month of April. The New York Knicks star forward has been on a run unlike anything he has ever been on in his career over his first three games since the calendar turned away from March. In fact, he is on a run that only two players in the last 30 years have been on in terms of scoring the ball, as described by Jalen Rose below: [Read more…]
