At one point last night I thought I would win $1,000 in DraftStreet’s NBA Fantasy League. That didn’t happen for several reasons. Anthony Davis, my most expensive player, left the game early with back spasms. Arron Afflalo couldn’t put the ball in the ocean while playing against the measly defense of the Cleveland Cavs. Besides that, all of my other picks performed well. Today I quickly threw a roster together and will probably make tweaks throughout the day. I contemplated

SH Blog: Big-3 to hold end of season meeting; Hibbert says Pacers don’t deserve 1-seed;
The playoffs may be just right around the corner, but when talking about the bigger picture when it comes to the landscape of the NBA, it all starts with the Miami Heat. LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh all have the ability to opt-out of the last year of their contracts with the Heat on June 30th, thus potentially making them free agents at the end of the season. Roy Hibbert Receives NBA Officiating Memo, Plans To Be “On Point”
Mike Bantom, the NBA’s Executive Vice President of Referee Operations, is cracking down on a very specific point of contention. The issue at hand? Verticality. Secondary defenders are permitted to challenge an oncoming offensive player so long as they stay “vertical.” However, according to a memorandum sent to all owners, general managers, coaches and officials over the weekend, there has been a noticeable increase of players bending, if not breaking, the rule. We have noticed that defenders have been turning sideways when jumping to
Sprung: Jeremy Lin won’t cut it for Rockets with Patrick Beverley out
Dwight Howard, James Harden and Chandler Parsons are the big-name players, but the Houston Rockets would not be a top-four team in the Western Conference without Patrick Beverley. Houston is 36-16 when Patrick Beverley starts, but they will miss him for at least two weeks (and likely for the duration of the regular season) with a torn meniscus. His replacement is one Jeremy Lin. You remember him, right? Even if Beverley doesn’t have the best offensive and defensive numbers, it doesn’t seem likely that Lin has

Last night I played in several leagues and came up empty. For some reason I put my faith in Greg Stiemsma (never again) and he didn’t even grab a rebound. Joakim Noah and LeBron James did well for me, gathering over 80 fantasy points between them. I bought Reggie Evans from Sacramento for only $6,998 and he did work. With 12 rebounds he ended up being one of my more successful players from Monday. To begin the month of April

Cousins, whose R&B moniker is Boogie Smooth—a play on his NBA nickname Boogie Cousins, followed the news about his forthcoming album Monday by responding to early internet cynics with some humor. Lets be honest, we all know I cant do any worse
