The New York Knicks remain the NBA’s lone unbeaten team at home and are going to be sleeping in their own beds for a while. Leading the Eastern Conference with a 15-5 mark, the Knicks travel across the East River tonight for a meeting with the Brooklyn Nets – which is pretty much a home game, based on the fan support they had in their first visit to the Barclays Center. The struggling Cleveland Cavaliers are no longer without star guard Kyrie Irving. The team announced that Irving was cleared to practice Monday and is expected to be available to play Tuesday, when the Cavaliers host the Los Angeles Lakers. [Read more…]
San Antonio Spurs swingman Stephen Jackson, Boston Celtics forward Chris Wilcox and Cleveland Cavaliers coach Byron Scott each were fined $25,000 by the NBA on Sunday. UPDATE: Jackson was fined for a hostile tweet directed at Oklahoma City Thunder big man Serge Ibaka. Currently sidelined by an injury, Jackson apparently watched Friday’s Lakers-Thunder game on ESPN and didn’t like what he saw. Spurs GM R.C.
