Promoting one’s endeavors outside of the basketball arena is commonplace in the NBA. It happens all of the time. Whether it’s Dwyane Wade advertising for The Tie Bar, Chris Bosh hocking Mr. Nice Tie, Chandler Parsons pitching CP25 socks, Martell Webster championing his forthcoming rap album, LeBron James selling Beats by Dre or any athlete in the league selling their latest signature shoe, most players have things going on outside of basketball, and many use the success and popularity of
Photo of the Day: Metta Panda World Bear Peace
Everyone who is an NBA fan has been missing one thing throughout the summer and the start of the regular season: Metta World Peace. But wait, we can no longer call him that, right? Is he the Panda’s Friend? Or still Metta? No matter what he goes by, World Peace is always entertaining, and downright hilarious. This past season ended his tenure in the NBA with the New York Knicks. He took his talents overseas to China, playing in the Chinese
Five problems plaguing the New York Knicks
The New York Knicks have lost five straight games and are now 2-6 after wins over Cleveland and Charlotte in their first three contests. So what are the Knicks doing so poorly over the league’s first two-plus weeks? The offense is disastrously slow and inefficient The Knicks’ 88.7 Pace, or approximate possessions per game, is the worst in the league. Photo of the Day: NBA Players and Teams Salute Our Veterans
Every year in November, our great country dedicates a day to the men and women that serve our country. Their sacrifice, honor and dedication are what help to give us the freedom we have today, and to be able to live the lives we lead. For me, and I’m sure to a lot of others, one day out of 365 is not enough to give the veterans of this country the respect and gratitude that they deserve. There are plenty of

Add this to the list of J.R. Smith suspensions. The New York Knicks guard was suspended one game by the league for “striking” the groin of Washington Wizards reserve forward Glen Rice Jr. on Tuesday night. He will miss Wednesday night’s game against Detroit. Rice Jr. was actually called for the foul on the play, but the Wizards ended up winning the game 98-83. The league may have deemed Smith’s transgression an intentional one based on his notorious track record Smith was suspended
Tweet of the Day: Carmelo Anthony Enjoyed Sharing Career Milestone With Fans
Monday afternoon New York Knicks All-Star forward Carmelo Anthony was basking in his career accomplishment. A night earlier, in a home game against the Charlotte Hornets at Madison Square Garden he scored a very important basket — two important baskets, really. The first basket came with 7:41 left in the first quarter, when he hit his second shot in the game, a three. That shot gave New York an early 15-to-five lead. It also gave Anthony 20,002 career points, putting him
SH Blog: Jimmy Butler Leads Bulls Over Wolves in Return With Rose, Gibson Out
Jimmy Butler returned on Saturday after missing two weeks with a sprained left thumb. A bit of a surprise return at that, which was just what the Bulls needed after Derrick Rose was out after spraining his ankle in the second quarter of their Friday tilt against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Taj Gibson also missed the game with a sprained ankle suffered in the same game, leaving the Bulls a bit thin. Nearly every starter notched more than 30 minutes. Jimmy Butler,

Happy Halloween everyone! It’s that time of year again. Some people may not like the holiday, and perhaps don’t dress up or pass out candy like they’re supposed to. That’s the reason for Halloween though, right? Whether you do celebrate All Hallow’s Eve or not, the best part, other than the cavities the day after, is getting to see what type of costumes people can dream up, and the amount of creativeness behind each one.
