BROOKLYN — Two significant things about today’s Brooklyn Nets news conference — what was said, and what wasn’t said. First, the latter: The word “Knicks” was not mentioned one single time. It would have been like being at a wine-tasting, and uttering the word “Thunderbird.” No bigger sign of disrespect than treating an adversary as though it does not exist. Because in the new world of the Nets, the only other team that merits mention, the only other team that is in

Tweet of the Day: NY Daily News’ Frank Isola lays into Knicks James Dolan
There’s always something with the New York Knicks. Some kind of drama. And, it doesn’t matter who the source is. SH Blog: Smith Injury (And Contract) Nothing New For Knicks
In today’s NBA, in order to evolve, you have to understand your weaknesses. Avoid stretching into a place where you’re just not very strong. Focus on what you do well and fill in the blanks. Amnesty Day: Heat waive Miller, Raptors drop Kleiza
After saying he would not use his amnesty provision, Heat president Pat Riley changed his mind and used the one-time clause on Mike Miller, saving owner Micky Arison millions in luxury tax. Tuesday was the last day for teams to waive a player via the amnesty provision, and Riley chose to let go of Miller and his $6.2 million salary. In a statement, he indicated that he tried to find a taker for Miller in a trade but was unsuccessful. “After many
What will Woodson Do With Metta — and Amare, and Bargnani?

Well, it’s never that easy with Woodson, who never settled on a set rotation throughout last season — even in the Knicks’ final game of the playoffs when Amar’e Stoudemire and Jason Kidd spent the final 24 minutes watching from the bench. Woodson has

You could probably make the case that there is no one more unfiltered when it comes to discussing anything the Knicks are doing – he even makes fun of other Knicks writers like Marc Berman of the New York Post, quite frequently at that. So when
