With summer on its way out, temperatures are finally dropping, people are throwing out their white pants, and the NBA preseason is about to begin. Starting October 3rd, NBA teams will face off against each other and a number of international teams, giving fans a taste of what’s to come before the NBA regular season begins on October 27th. The preseason is a fantastic chance to see teams test out their fresh new talent, and it doesn’t hurt that NBA tickets
NBA to Experiment With 44-Minute Preseason Game
If you’re like me, then you know that the best thing about League Pass is those Wednesday and Friday nights where there are 10 or 12 or 13 games and you can just keep bouncing around to watch the last four minutes of each one. One-possession game, four minutes to go. We all live for that crap, right? Well, this Sunday, NBA is taking those four minutes away. Sort of. Sunday’s preseason game between the Boston Celtics and Brooklyn Nets at Barclays Center
SH Blog: Utah Jazz sign 5-year-old with cancer; Nuggets and Faried rework contract
The Utah Jazz may not have many highlights this season, but they had one Monday night. The team signed five-year-old cancer patient JP Gibson to a one-day contract for the team’s scrimmage at EnergySolutions Arena in Salt Lake. He was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in 2012. It was mid-way through the third quarter when the crowd started to cheer. If you wanted to know why, you looked down. Bernucca: What the preseason has shown us so far
Even for hoops addicts, watching NBA preseason games presents a challenge. The baseball playoffs are under way, the college football and NFL seasons are in full swing, and there is this small matter of a presidential election. There is no subscription package for the preseason. League Pass takes a pass until the regular season starts later this month. So the only way you can watch games right now is on NBA TV, which isn’t part of the basic package of a number
