Kobe Bryant has been sidelined for much of this season due to a couple of devastating injuries, and the Los Angeles Lakers have toiled in the bottom of the conference as a result. Thursday in the NBA meant trades, at least it normally would. It was the trade deadline after all. Trade activity started slow, but picked up as the deadline drew near. A total of nine deals went down Thursday, add the two that occurred Wednesday and a total of 11 occurred before the clock struck at 3:00 PM. Before the season began, much hype surrounded the possibilities of a revamped Golden State Warriors lineup. The Los Angeles Lakers have been short on bodies all season long due to an assortment of injuries to key players. In Wednesday’s 119-108 victory against the Cleveland Cavaliers, the shortage reached a new level.
