There are train-wrecks in life and then there are WRECKED trains. The Los Angeles Lakers by some grand design that is not their own—call it fate or whatever you want—are having a wrecked train type of season. Lakers beat writer Dave McMenamin tweeted out the following update from head coach Mike D’Antoni before Tuesday night’s tilt against the Houston Rockets. [Read more…]
SH Blog: Bryant and Howard deny feud rumors, Magic Johnson rips everyone on the Lakers
The Los Angeles Lakers are officially in big trouble. Literally. Sitting eleventh in the Western Conference and three games behind the eighth-seeded Portland Trail Blazers, the Lakers received news that their primary bigs in Dwight Howard, Pau Gasol and Jordan Hill have all suffered injuries, which will cause them to miss an unknown number of games for the foreseeable future (more on that below). This is absolutely the last thing this team needed, given its continued struggles on both ends of the floor.

If your team is great, he will tell you just that. If your team is bad, boy, will he let

SH Blog: Ten Christmas Day Observations
There wasn’t a 50-point showing – heck, there wasn’t even a 40-point outing! – on Christmas this year, but the NBA provided a quintuplet of matchups that helped to put things in perspective through nearly two months of the season. SheridanHoops had an eye on the tube at all times. Below is an observation regarding the 10 teams who participated in the holiday’s hoops festivities: Boston Celtics: They might be hovering around the .500 mark through the first quarter of the season, but this
