We told you earlier today that LaMarcus Aldridge is on the verge of being added to the preliminary Team USA roster for the 2012 Olympics. Now we’re reporting something even better: The entire 19-man roster. Here it is, alphabetically, from my impeccable international basketball sources: [Read more…]
Exclusive: LaMarcus Aldridge likely addition to Team USA
The common belief is that USA Basketball will announce a preliminary 18-man roster for the 2012 Olympics later this month. But that belief is flawed. It is more likely the number will be 19, and it will include LaMarcus Aldridge. SheridanHoops.com learned Tuesday that Aldridge is on the verge of being added to the national team roster that will be submitted to FIBA later in January. Check out Kevin Durant’s new Nike ad
I am a big fan of Kevin Durant’s. Dwight Howard is the first name on that list, because like most of the 2008 Redeem Team, he has earned the right to defend the gold medal he won in Beijing. Ditto Chris Bosh. The same goes for Carmelo Anthony, LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Kobe Bryant, and maybe to a slightly lesser degree to Chris Paul and Deron Williams. You can also set aside
