It’s great to be playing again at DraftStreet. Every Monday, I’ll start with a fresh $100 bankroll for the week and share my picks in this space once a day. Years of experience in traditional Roto and Head-to-Head formats doesn’t change the fact that I’m a relative novice in daily fantasy leagues. We’ll be learning together; just click on the logo to get started. While there are some interesting variations, the Salary Cap game is most appealing. The rules are simple,
Heat Turned Off in DC; Lakers Blow Huge Lead; Zach Randolph Unstoppable
Maybe the Heat were overconfident, or wanted to give the D.C. fans a thrill. They didn’t turn up the defensive intensity until the fourth quarter, when their shots didn’t fall. [Read more…]
Hamilton: Knicks Overpaid for Camby
NEW YORK — Back in November 2007, a displeased David Stern said that the New York Knicks were “not a model of intelligent management.” Back then, Isiah Thomas was running the franchise into the ground and getting his employer, Madison Square Garden, sued in federal court. That was five years ago and since then, Donnie Walsh and Glen Grunwald have both done wonders for the credibility of the general manager’s office over at 2 Penn Plaza. But one thing that forever seems
Playoffs Day 11: Previews of Knicks-Heat and Clippers-Grizzlies
What looked to be a fast ending to the first round of the playoffs took a turn for the competitive good on Tuesday night when three of the four teams that faced elimination – the Hawks, Bulls and Nuggets – all survived to play a Game 6. His presence would give a

The Knicks announced Saturday night prior to their game against Cleveland that Lin recently had an MRI that revealed a slight tear to the meniscus in his left knee. Lin will have a minor surgical procedure that will sideline him for 6 weeks. That means Lin will be unavailable before the beginning of May, when the playoffs will already be underway. The news is a major blow to the Knicks.
Baron Davis scrimmages with Knicks; Debut coming soon
GREENBURGH, N.Y. — Baron Davis went through his first full scrimmage today, and is expected to make his debut sometime during the New York Knicks’ upcoming four-game road trip. Did somebody say “savior?” Just a few months ago, Davis’s back injury was so bad, he was considering retiring from the NBA. “Two, three months ago, I was really contemplating and thinking about retiring and just asking to be taken care of so I could be able to walk, walk straight or even work out
Fantasy Spin: Saturday, Jan. 7
Highlight Performances: Josh Smith, ATL– Most people know Josh Smith for two reasons; he is outstanding in the Slam Dunk contest, and he is a beast in fantasy basketball. The key to Smith is that he posts numbers across the board on a nightly basis, specifically on the defensive end. His line Saturday night was as follows: 25 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, 4 steals,
